Funding:
- Monthly Stipend: Approximately €700 for Bachelor’s/Master’s and €1,100 for PhD students, aimed at covering living costs and accommodation.
- Additional Benefits: Includes one-time commencement (€100) and completion (€200) stipends, plus monthly public university fee coverage (€80–€240).
- Language Preparation: A 10-month preparatory language course can be covered if necessary.
Eligibility:
- The age limit is determined as of September 1 of the year in which the application for a government scholarship is submitted
- for the 1st and 2nd levels of study (bachelor’s/master’s/combined bachelor’s and master’s programs): the applicant must be at least 18 years old and not older than 26
- for the third level of study (doctoral studies): the applicant must be at least 23 years old and not older than 35 years old.
- Submission of a nomination from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education of the home country, or from the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, or from a compatriot organization.
- Submission of all required documents in accordance with: https://www.vladnestipendia.sk/en/required-documents
- Proof of academic performance during the entire previous secondary or higher education, with a minimum grade of 80%.
- Selection of a field of study that is supported for the given country.
- Successful admission to a public university in the Slovak Republic.

- A prerequisite for admission to a university is proficiency in the Slovak language—if the scholarship recipient does not speak Slovak, they are required to complete a 10-month language and professional training program before the start of their university studies, during which they are awarded a scholarship.
